Elsie Lane was born on 20 July 1923. She worked at Stalker Drill Works from 1939. She was still working there on her 21st birthday [1944]. Her sister, Irene Lane also worked at Stalker Drill Works and their younger sister, Grace Lane, joined Stalker a few years later.
