lt;font size= 2 gt;The Lyric Picture House opened in 22nd November 1920. 29th August 1962 it was taken over by the Star group and had a bingo night on 1 day of the week, and later that year became a full time bingo hall. After closing as a casino the building remained derelict for several years, before it was demolished and became a housing development.
