Erected by Henry Charles, 13th Duke of Norfolk, at a cost of on the site of the late Tontine Inn. Opened Christmas Eve, 1851. Constructed of brick, with stone basement, quoins and dressings, in classic style. The west front was rebuilt 1904-5 with shops opening on to the Haymarket. Demolished 1959.
