Jill (Gillian) Slattery born 25th May 1945 of Attercliffe Swimming Club, Won gold in the 220yd breast stroke and siver in the 110yd breaststroke at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingstone, Jamaica. She won a bronze medal in the 200m breast stroke at the European Championships in Utrecht.

Competed in the 200m breaststroke in the 1964 (finished fifth) and 1968 Olympics
