The Prime Minister was visiting the works as a guest of of the Master Cutler, Mr. Tom Burleigh, chairman of Firth Brown Tools. He passed through the metal sawing, powder and hard metals departments, stopping several times to chat with workers, before going on to visit the Maltby Works of Aven Tools.
