Information with photograph Toll Bar House, - 189 Burngreave Road. Owner: Sheffield Corporation. Occupiers: Mr. and Mrs. Hall. Built 1836 when Burngreave Road was made. Original Toll-bar (built 1759-60) was situated on Pitsmoor Road near Gate Inn but this newer bar was made to cover both roads. Pitsmoor T.P. on 1854 62 O.S. Tolls ceased to be levied 1876.
