Comparison with the photograph arc02490 indicates that the three young ladies pictured were bridesmaids on the occasion of the marriage of Edith Fawcett Wightman (1850 - 1934) to James Dixon (1851 - 1947), eldest son of Henry Isaac Dixon (1820 - 1912) of Stumperlowe Hall, which took place on 2 Sep 1873 at the Sheffield Parish Church.

James Dixon's three sisters Annie Maria, Florence and Beatrice (thought to be the inviduals pictured in this photographs) were three of the bridesmaids at his wedding (as reported in an article in the Sheffield Daily Telegraph, 3 Sep 1873).

Annie Maria Dixon (1853 - 1944) was the eldest daughter of Henry Isaac Dixon (1820 - 1912 of Stumperlowe Hall. She was born in Ecclesfield in 1853. In 1866 she became a 'governor' of the Deakin Institution in Sheffield having presented pound;50 to its funds. She later married Revd. Edward Southwell Garnier (1850 - 1938) at Christ Church, Fulwood on 5 Aug 1875.

Florence Dixon was born in Sheffield in 1857. She later married George Kingsford Wilson (1853 - 1933) of Tapton Hall, Sheffield on 19 April 1877. George Kingsford Wilson became the senior partner in the snuff manufacturing firm Wilson and Co. Sharrow Millls, Sheffield. He died at his home of Tapton Hall on 30 Sep 1933. Florence Wilson died on 6 July 1935 at Tapton Hall, Sheffield, age 78.

Beatrice Helen Dixon was born in 1866. She later married Thomas Kingsford Wilson (1861 - 20 Aug 1937) on 7 Apr 1894 at St George�s Church, Hanover Square, London, youngest son of George Wilson of Tapton Hall, Sheffield. Thomas Kingsford Wilson became chairman of Tennant Brothers, brewers, in Sheffield. He died in Sheffield on 20 Aug 1937, aged 75. Beatrice Helen Wilson died in Sheffield in 1947, age 81.
