In the distance, where the river bends to the right, would be Burton Weir by Leveson Street. The structure spanning the river was the aerial tramway which carried coal and coke from Nunnery Colliery to the depot at Salmon Pastures on the north bank. None of these buildings or structures still stand today and Salmon Pastures is now a nature reserve.
