The factory was the largest and most pretentious ever erected for the manufacture of and Old Sheffield Plate. See: Newspaper Cuttings Relating to Sheffield. Ref: 942 74 Vol 29 page 2 Waterhouse, Hodgson and Co., silversmiths and plated manufacturers (Sheffield Plate) are recorded in Directories until 1845. Samuel Laycock and Son, hair seating manufacturers are recorded in Directories 1849-1928. |
