Information from Martin Speck This is Hyde Park Terrace as seen from Bernard Street with the Hyde Park flats shown during construction. The main Hyde Park block, seen next to the tower cranes has since been demolished. The block seen on the left in the picture was refurbished to form the student village and now looks very different, having been clad with thermal insulation. It is now known as Harold Lambert Court. St John's spire can seen at the far right of Hyde Park Terrace. Hyde Park Terrace was also refurbished when it was given an outer brick skin and a pitched roof. The Picture Sheffield image u05402 shows the unrefurbished Hyde Park Terrace with the larger Hyde Park complex in the background. Image t04390 was taken from Bernard Street, near to the access ramp seen right of centre in picture u05402.
