Kings Head one of the last beer only houses in Sheffield. The building has also been used as a grocers, earthenware dealers and a chemist. The easrthenware shop was run by Robert Jackson whose son Samuel was co-founder of Spear and Jackson, tool manufacturers. The world champion endurance runner George Littlewood was landlord around 1900. Billy Calvert who fought for the world championship against Howard Wilsonin the 1960's was also a landlord.
