Notes:	To the memory of Permanent Sergeant Thomas Sands of the Sheffield Squadron of 1st West York Yeomanry Cavalry: who died the 29th day of March 1850 aged 67 years. Having served in the above regiment upwards of 22 years. He also served 24 years the 1st or King’s Dragoon Guards, and highly distinguished himself at the ever memorable Battle of Waterloo. This stone is erected by the non-commissioned officers.
