In this image The Kid , starring Charlie Chaplin, is showing. This dates the picture to c. 1921.

Originally The Central Hall, opening as a cinema on 10 July 1905. Renamed the New Tivoli on 12 January 1914. Damaged by fire in 1927, the cinema was also damaged in the Blitz of 1940 and never reopened as a cinema.
