Lieutenant William Harold Armitage, of the Yorkshire Regiment, who has been killed in action. He was the son of Mr and Mrs W. H. Armitage, 34 Rutland Park, Sheffield. He enlisted as a private, and won the Military Cross.

Captain S. J. Lovegrove, D.S.O. (Distinguished Service Order), eldest son of Major J. Lovegrove, of the Sheffield Artillery, who has died of wounds received in action while serving with the King's African Rifles in British East Africa

Second-Lieutenant E. McGlade, King's Liverpool Regiment, of 23, Chatfield Road, Woodseats, Sheffield, called to the colours on outbreak of war, has seen active service in France while in the ranks, and has now received a commission.
