Boer War. A Quartette of Coldstreams. Pte. Leonard Laycock, 8th Company, 1st Battalion, Coldstream Guards, 1st Brigade, 1st Division South African Field Force. The photograph shows him in the 'full dress' uniform of the Coldstreams

Boer War. A Quartette of Coldstreams. Pte. G. Muxlow, joined the Coldstreams in 1897, and after a year's service became drummer to the late Earl of Wincester who was killed at Magersfontein.

Boer War. A Quartette of Coldstreams. Pte. W. Doane, No. 1809. and Coldstream Guards. Joined the regiment in May. 1898. He gained the 'Cross Guns' for being the best shot in the regiment in September, 1899

Boer War. A Quartette of Coldstreams. Pte. James Wareham (of Wadsley) is reservist of the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards. He is 25 years of age, and left the Army in 1893.

Boer War. Local Reservists. Private C. Henry. Noble, enlisted in the 1st Coldstream Guards in 1889. He rejoined the colours on the 17th Oct., 1899, and left Southampton the following Saturday in the S. S. Malta.
