Boer War. Died for Queen and Country. Pte. John Mackay, (Deceased) No. 9551. 1st Batt. Coldstream Guards. Was 24 years of age. Died March 25th, 1900, of Enteric Fever at Wynburg. Enlisted August 1893.

Boer War. Died for Queen and Country. Pte. G. Thacker, of the 2nd King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, was killed at the battle of Gras Pan, on November 25th, whilst fighting with Lord Methuen's forces.
