Inscription reads To the greater glory of God. These church rooms of the parish of St Andrew, Sharrow were enlarged and improved in the year of our Lord 1896, at a cost of £450, including a legacy of £200 left by Mrs Wilson of Westbrook (who died Nov. 4th 1895) to the Vicar of Sharrow to be applied by him in, or towards maintaining Church of England Sunday Schools, and promoting other church work in the parish of Sharrow.
