Original caption: People made messages in the Town Hall for the Covid Memorial willow tree in Balm Green Gardens. The willow tree sculpture honours and remembers those who lost their lives to Covid-19. At the event, Councillor Safiya Saeed, The Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of Sheffield said: “These words have been written in remembrance and in gratitude. They stand to the collective testament to the love that we continue to hold for those who have lost and for one another.” The love and support that people showed to others at such a difficult time will never be forgotten. Thank you to everyone who joined this third annual day of reflection. We thank those who made messages for the willow tree. Speakers at the event were Councillor Fran Belbin, Deputy Leader of Sheffield City Council, Councillor Safiya Saeed and Camran Munir, Lord Mayor’s Chaplain.
