Sir John Osborn was the Conservative MP for Sheffield Hallam, 1959 -1987. He was also technical director in the family company, Samuel Osborn and Co. Ltd. Amongst other roles, he served as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Commonwealth Secretary.
