Taken from 'Photographs Relating to Sheffield', Vol. 4, page 43, by C.H. Lea, Cat. No. 914.274 SQ. The tower was built into the kitchen garden wall of Banner Cross Hall near the junction of Ecclesall Road South and the bottom of Ringinglow Road. It was built as a place for Lord John Murray to relax in. It has two rooms with bay windows and was said to have had a small library. In bygone days fruit and wine were taken there on summer afternoons. |
