Electra Palace opened 11th Feb 1911 on a site previously occupied by Wonderland a small entertailnment hall, closing for alterations on 28th July 1945 and reopened as a Capital and Provincial News Theatre on 8th September 1945.On 15th January 1962 became the Classic Cinema.
