The Commonwealth War Graves Commission lists a Private W. Brayshaw of the West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own) as being killed on 6 Jul 1918, aged 35. Born at owlerton, he was the Son of William and Mary Ann Brayshaw; husband of Florence Emily Cronshaw (formerly Brayshaw), of 112, Hoyland Road, Neepsend, Sheffield. He is buried in Wadsley Churchyard.
